At CTS Recruitment Ltd we believe it is vital to supply the correct skills, on time every time. That is why CTS Recruitment Ltd takes great care to gather the following information, before supplying temporary staff for any assignment.

Before any temporary worker is sent out to work, time is taken to gather the following information:

  • A comprehensive job specification including what skills are required and what machinery could be used.
  • Productivity levels and benchmarks
  • Shift patterns and breaks
  • Health and safety requirements
  • Training requirements
  • Company ethos and culture

A written specification is prepared before the commencement of supply and agreed with you. This then forms the basis against which our performance is measured.

Recruitment Processes

Interviews

At CTS all Consultants are trained in the interviewing and selection process. All interviewees are thoroughly vetted and questioned to ascertain:

  • Qualifications and Experience
  • Employment history
  • Availability and willingness to work
  • Personality and Skills

All temporary workers complete an in depth application form from which we can establish neatness of presentation and legality of handwriting.

Only when interview is fully completed is the decision made as to the suitability of the person applying for work. Copies of all Driving and Forklift Truck Licenses are taken and kept on file and updated every quarter.

It is at this stage we brief the applicant on the details of the contract, which will include the following information:

  • Type of work
  • Hours of work
  • Rates of pay
  • Health and safety including dress code
  • Machinery or vehicles to be used and driven
  • Company induction
  • Duration of contract

Reference Checking

Temporary staff are reference checked spanning their work history up to two years as appropriate.

Testing

All applicants complete our various tests including a test for numeracy and literacy, before any offer of work is made. For the Food Industry all staff supplied will also complete a Food Hygiene Test and a Health Questionnaire. Certificates are then issued and copies are held on file and made available upon request.

Our recruitment process is fully auditable.

24 Hour Immediate Service

When you need temporary. cover CTS Recruitment Ltd can deliver as we offer a fully operational, manned out of hour's service 24/7,365 days of the year. Day or night we can normally supply temporary staff within one hour of your call.

Protective Clothing

Staff can be supplied with a range of protective clothing at no extra cost. This covers items such as: - safety footwear, Hi-vis jackets, I.D Cards, overalls and uniforms.

Training and Inductions

To reduce agency spend and improve productivity staff can be supplied Free of Charge for four hours to complete your company induction and training. If CTS Recruitment Ltd are unable to supply a trained member of staff we will provide suitable replacement for a full shift at no cost, our treat (Volume business only).

Temporary to Permanent Service

Our Temporary to Permanent Service is designed to help the large proportion of temporary workers who are seeking permanent employment, whilst saving you time and money associated with advertising.

Notification of temporary to permanent must be agreed with CTS Recruitment Ltd and confirmed in writing. A transfer date can then be confirmed.

Continuous Improvement through Performance Review Meetings

At CTS we recommend weekly review meetings to enhance the smooth running of your contract. A process of continuous improvement is generally experienced when such meetings take place. The following areas will be monitored.

  • Response times
  • Attendance record
  • Productivity
  • Labour turnover
  • Timesheets/invoicing procedures
  • Staff motivation
  • Staff development

Administration

Our normal payment terms are payment within fourteen days of the date of invoice. Other payment terms are available upon request.
